• 1 large po-boy French bread (stale) cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 1 large can Carnation milk
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 4-ounce box vanilla instant pudding mix

Place bread cubes in a buttered 3-quart Pyrex dish. Bring Carnation and whole milk to a boil. Remove from heat. Add butter and stir until melted. Add raisins. In a small bowl mix eggs and sugar. Add vanilla and pudding mix. Stir well. Add this to mixture. Pour over bread cubes. Let stand 10 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees until puffy and lightly browned. About 20-25 minutes. (Should be moist.)

Serve plain or topped with one of the following sauces: Brandy or Whiskey Sauce; Amaretto Sauce
