Brandy or Whiskey Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons brandy (any flavor) or whiskey
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

In a small saucepan heat the first four ingredients. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and cook 10 minutes. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Serve warm.
